Gingivitis and Gum Disease Treatment

Gum disease, also know as Periodontal disease can cause many health problems. Usually preceding gum disease patients experience inflammation of their gums, known as Gingivitis.

Root Canals

A Root Canal Treatment is often feared by many patients as many think it equivalents to a painful procedure. This is often advised by the dentist when the infection of the tooth has reached the third layer of the tooth or the pulp which can be very painful. To eliminate this problem and save the tooth, a root canal treatment will be done to the affected area.

Implant Restoration

A dental implant is a surgical component that interfaces with the bone of the jaw or skull to support a dental prosthesis such as a crown, bridge, denture, facial prosthesis or to act as an orthodontic anchor. Restoration is a term used in dentistry to describe restoring the function of the tooth by replacing missing or damaged tooth structure.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening is a popular treatment aesthetically as it helps improve the teeth’s appearance by making it bright, sparkly, and white. This is done by removing the stains which causes discoloration on the tooth’s surface. Teeth whitening procedure requires multiple visits to the dentist to achieve and maintain the white color.

Dentures

Dentures are a removable device that is used as an alternative to replace missing teeth. It helps provide proper mouth function like chewing, biting, and smiling. Though it resembles missing teeth, it may feel very uncomfortable when worn. Today, dentures are enhanced to make it look not only more natural looking but also more comfortable.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is generally used to refer to any dental work that improves the appearance of a person’s teeth, gums and/or bite.

Porcelain to Metal Crowns

Porcelain-fused-to-metal dental crowns (PFMs) have a metal shell on which is fused a veneer of porcelain in a high heat oven. The metal provides strong compression and tensile strength, and the porcelain gives the crown a white tooth-like appearance, suitable for front teeth restorations.

Bridgework

A bridgework is a partial denture that is anchored to existing teeth. Types of bridges may vary, depending upon how they are fabricated and the way they anchor to the adjacent teeth. Conventionally, bridges are made using the indirect method of restoration. However, bridges can be fabricated directly in the mouth using such materials as composite resin.

Veneers

Teeth that are badly stained, shaped or crooked may be improved by a veneer placed on the surface of the affected teeth.

Porcelain Ceramic Crowns

All-ceramic or all-porcelain dental crowns provide better natural color match than any other crown type and may be more suitable for people with metal allergies. However, they are not as strong as porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns and they wear down opposing teeth a little more than metal or resin crowns. All-ceramic crowns are a good choice for front teeth.

Composite Fillings

A dental filling also known as dental restoration is a procedure to treat and restore the structure, function and integrity of a missing tooth structure which is often caused by cavities and external traumas. It helps repair the gap by filling it with a dental amalgam therefore restoring it to its natural form.
